“Among the Dark Skies” draws inspiration from Northumberland's dark skies, and the rich fairy folklore of Northern England. Interwoven is a South African tale that describes the creation of the Milky Way by throwing campfire ashes into the sky above.
This piece is a two-layer linocut print. Each block is meticulously inked—almost painted—using a fine roller, ensuring that each print in the edition has it’s own unique character.
594 x 841 mm (A1) paper with approximately 46.4 x 701mm printed area.
‘Bread & Butter’ acid-free paper with vegetable-oil based and metalllic relief ink.
Part of a Limited Edition of 20.
