'Folklore' Linocut Print

'Folklore' references folk tales from all over the North, drawing attention to the magic and history in the local land and sea. 

The Lambton Worm is featured in the print, wrapped seven times around Worm Hill, as descriped in the earliest versions of the legend. The depiction of witches dancing, trapped in stone is inspired by "Long Meg and her Daughters", a stone circle, a few miles East of Penrith. Other references to witches, wise-women, mermaids and dragons feature across the print. 

Handprinted linocut 'Folklore' in Blue/Gold (Teal/Copper and Green/Silver also available). Limited edition of 20.  Printed on 101.6 x 68.6cm paper.
